1973 BREITLING [Swiss] Ref. 815 'Long Playing' Mk1 Chronograph Valjoux Cal. 7736
Item Main Description
An exquisite and classy BREITLING chronograph watch, this Mk1 Ref. 815 'Long Playing' [successor to the 'Top-Time'] has beenprofessionally and fully serviced in-house here at our Localtime Spa.
Serial number 141xxxx places its production in 1973. The 38mm [40.50mm counting the centre crown] solid steel case is in excellent unpolished condition. The dial with anthracite sub-dials [unlike the more common black Mk2] and set of hands are of course original to the watch. We have replaced the plexi with a new, correct one [also sold separately here: 202014349740]. We have included many photos, including some closeup snapshots, just for fun. This lovely chronograph is fitted with one of my own handmade calf leather straps in 'Denim Blue' [also sold separately here: 401105271426].
As with all the watches we service in-house here at the Localtime Spa, the BIN includes a written 6-month written warrantee from the date of purchase. Feel free to contact us for whatever questions you might have.

About Me
I was born and raised in Cyprus, a small island in the Eastern Mediterranean, now a member of the European Union. My studies took me to Switzerland, the USA, Germany, and England. I did not, as you might think, study to become a watchmaker but rather a hotelier. As such, I spent most of my professional life as a hotel manager. Since 2009, I have pursued my (then) hobby of collecting watches and have made a new career from restoring and selling vintage timepieces. Over time, I have actually come to understand that watch restoration and hospitality have a lot in common. In both instances, I have found myself taking care of people or products that were with me for a brief period of time. As a hotel manager, I was content at the end of a visitors stay in my hotel when they would give me a warm smile and an appreciative farewell. Much like then, I find myself doing the same with watches when, after whatever care they might need, I bid goodbye to them as they head out to their new home.
I love what I do and I take pride in doing it the best way possible in order to maintain the original integrity of each vintage timepiece. Feel free to contact me if you would like to buy one of my watches or even sell one of yours. I would also be happy to hear from you if you would like to have a watch restored. Be it a family heirloom or one from your collection, my colleagues and I will do our best to return it to you healthier than when it got to us.
Friendly regards, Andreas. Delivery Information
